Blue Anchor Inn is a family run lodge located on the main road about 50km north of Maputo, catering for all travelers who are looking for a secure, comfortable, and affordable stop-over on their way up to Inhambane and beyond.
Blue Anchor Inn is ideally situated on the EN1 freeway and is perfectly placed as an overnight stop for families and individuals en-route to northern and mid-Mozambique. The Blue Anchor Inn has a fully licensed bar as well as a restaurant that prides itself with high-quality food, specializing in fresh Mozambican fare like flat chicken, prawns, calamari and line fish. Our motto is "Old Fashioned Hospitality", which we pride ourselves on constantly delivering.
Blue Anchor Inn's accommodation is simple yet comfortable. We have a family cottage that sleeps eight as well as en-suite chalets with 2 double beds that are able to sleep four. We also have "Inn" style accommodation with all rooms having their own dedicated bathrooms. All the rooms are tastefully decorated with Mosquito nets and fans, and all bathrooms have hot water.

Chalets - Blue Anchor Inn - There are also various smaller chalets providing a selection of 2x double beds per chalet, 1x double bed per chalet, and all our garden chalets have en-suite bathrooms.
Main Building - Blue Anchor Inn - The main building has Inn style rooms with dedicated bathrooms. All the rooms are tastefully decorated, with Mosquito nets and electric fans. All the chalets are located in a beautiful shady garden setting where there is plenty of space for the kids to work off the long journey and play safely.

The Restaurant has an a la carte menu which includes a variety of Mozambican delicacies including line fish, prawns, and the Blue Anchor Inn version of a "Surf and Turf".
