Relax and enjoy the luxury of Dugong Beach Lodge, situated on the Indian Ocean coastline of Mozambique, within one of the most unique marine and wildlife sanctuaries - "The Vilanculos Coastal Wildlife Sanctuary".
Just 10 luxuriously appointed framed tented chalets with hardwood floors and Jekka thatched grass canopies offer an understated elegance and simplicity. All the chalets at Dugong Beach Lodge have two twin beds or one king size bed and are equipped with fans and mosquito nets and open onto patios.
The diverse eco-system of wilderness and wetland, with its power white beaches and crystal clear water host a magnificent array of fish, dolphin and flocks of flamingos and pelicans. Shallow and deepwater reefs reveal beautiful creatures such as the leatherback turtles, sailfish and manta ray, to name a few. Most importantly, it is the only site in the world where the near-extinct dugong (which resembles a sea lion) is found.
