From Johannesburg
Travel to Nelspruit and then on to the Komatipoort border post. Once through the Komatipoort border post follow the road +/-100km towards Maputo.
You will go through 2 tollgates, the first is +/-50km from Komatipoort, payment can be made in Meticais, Rands or US$. The second, Motola toll plaza is just before you enter Maputo and payment is preferred in Meticais.
Once you go through the toll travel for approximately 2,6km and take the EN1 North Xai-Xai turn off.
At the end of the off ramp turn left and continue for approximately 2 hours. This is the main road north and you will drive through numerous little villages and towns on this road. It is advisable to obey all speed restrictions as the authorities in all these hamlets have Radar Speed trapping equipment and enforce the limits actively.
After approximately 2 hours you will reach a town called Macia. Turn off right to R 453 Bilene opposite a BP Garage and travel 32,6km to Bilene Circle.
At the Circle veer 1st left and travel 1 km to a ?T? junction
Turn left and you will see Palmeiras Resort entrance on your right.
Directions From Durban (via Swaziland)
From Durban, take the main N2 highway north to Zululand, past Richards Bay to Mkuze.
Keep an eye for a road on the right marked Golela, this being the border post into Swaziland.
From the Golela border post, follow the road past Big Bend.
Take the right turnoff to Siteki/Lomahasha border post.
Once through the border head towards Maputo and you will go through the Motola toll plaza.
