Beach Camp nestles on the banks of the Uembje Lagoon that forms part of Bilene in the Gaza district of Mozambique. Bilene is a peaceful little holiday town, about 180km from Maputo. The Uembje Lagoon, a saltwater lake, is fringed with white sandy beaches and is popular for all kinds of water sport.
Beach Camp is close to the Nhabanga village, with huge swaying palm trees towering over the peaceful settlement. The shallow shores offer safe swimming for small children. Beach Camp is close to the lagoon, making it the ideal holiday spot with an island feel.
Enjoy beautiful sunrises under the gazebo, a mere 20m from the lake, or marvel at the spectacular sunsets, so known to this part of Africa. A mere 2km from Beach Camp the blue ocean lays waiting, with huge dunes for quad biking and 4X4 enthusiasts.
Beach Camp is a self-catering venue with 6 separate bungalows sleeping 14 guests in total. It offers, a well equipped kitchen, with fridges, freezer, gas burner for cooking, microwave and a small electrical oven, pots, pans, crockery and cutlery. Gas (for cooking) and electricity are also provided. Ablution comes separate from the bungalows, and consists of double showers and toilets. Linen and bedding are provided but please bring your own towels.
