This house is situated on a housing Estate in Ponta Malongane, Southern Mozambique. It has awesome sea views of Ponta Malongane Beach and Ponta Do Ouro Beach. Dolphins are almost a daily occurrence. Whales can be seen August and September. Turtles come out to nest November and December and the hatchlings come out January and February.
The house consists of two separate units that can be rented individually or as a whole. They are joined by a large 6m deck. Each unit has its own gas braai and outside furniture. There are magnificent sea views from the deck.
Each house is a compact unit, with two bedrooms that have built-in cupboards. The main bedroom has a double bed and the bedroom opens up onto the deck. This bedroom has a portable air conditioner. The second bedroom has two single beds and a portable fan. There is one bathroom that has a shower. Bath towels are supplied but not beach towels. All linen is supplied. There is an additional bedroom at the bottom of the house that has a bunk bed and two twin beds, so both the houses can comfortably sleep 12 people. The additional bedroom at the bottom of the house rents at an extra rate, please enquire because of different seasonal rates.
We advise you to bring your own toiletries and dishwashing liquid. There are also laundry facilities available for which you will need your own automatic laundry detergent and stay soft.
The kitchen is fully equipped with a stove, microwave, fridge, baking utensils, toaster and more. There are enough utensils and crockery for ten people. There is also a small chest freezer in the second bedroom of each cottage. The kitchen is open plan to the living area.
The houses have a TV and a DVD player in each and also have a music station where guests can plug in their phone and USB sticks to play their selection of music.
There is an outside dining table that seats 6 to 8 people, where you can enjoy a meal whilst looking out at the ocean during all weather conditions - this area has protective blinds keeping it dry. The braai can be accommodated underneath the blinds area. The braais are large with a thermostat, the gas for the braai is supplied.
There is a full-time housekeeper, her salary is paid by the home-owner, you are however welcome to tip her at the end of your stay. She works Monday to Saturday, from 8:30 to 16:00.
There is no swimming pool at this house but there is a hotel that has a swimming pool as well as a restaurant and bar where guests can watch sporting events, DSTV is available at the restaurant/bar.
This site is secure with a security guard at the gate and night watchmen.
The house is walking distance from the beach, with around 120 wooden steps leading onto the beach.
