Dugong Lodge is a half hour boat ride across the clear water bay from Vilanculos.
The Vilanculos Coastal Wildlife Sanctuary is set on the Sebastian Peninsula.
Vilanculos International Airport is approximately a two-hour flight from and one and a half hours from (Kruger Airport MQP). These routes are serviced by Pelican Air in pressurized turboprop aircraft.

Boat transfers from Vilanculos to Dugong Beach Lodge take 30 to 40 minutes (depending on the tide) Air transfers from Vilanculos to Dugong Beach Lodge air strip take 10 minutes, and a further 25 minutes by road to the lodge.
