The Bilene lagoon in Mozambique is a huge stretch of water, about 2km wide and 14km long, reaching depths of 50 metres. Across this lagoon, lies the beautiful and tranquil village of Nhabanga where you will find Serenity, a self-catering escape from the stresses of the city.
A welcoming pool with waterfall feature is available for the use of all guests. For those guests with boats, these may be launched directly in front of the resort. The lagoon lends itself to water sports, so bring your boat or jet-ski. Swimming is safe in the lagoon and the water is always warm.
Guests at Serenity are accommodated in 4 or 6 sleeper units. The 6 sleeper house has 2 x en-suite bedrooms with double beds and 2 x single beds in the living room. This house has a fully equipped kitchen as well as private Jacuzzi and TV with DVD player. The bedrooms have air-conditioning.
The three 4 sleeper units at Serenity comprise 1 en-suite bedroom with a double bed & air-conditioning, kitchen and lounge with 2 x single beds.
In addition, there is a 2 sleeper tent with en-suite bathroom and kitchen area.
The village can only be reached by 4 x 4 vehicle or by boat. The sand road to the village is a 23 kilometer stretch that will normally take close to an hour to complete.
