Access by road is pleasant and scenic and the 485Km drive from Maputo to Inhambane takes about 6 hours. The roads are tarred and suitable for normal vehicles. Numerous towns and villages are en-route and the main road often passes directly through these settlements. Speed limits are enforced and sufficient time should be allowed to avoid driving at night.
