Zona Braza is situated at Praia de Chizavane, Mozambique. We are 280km north of Maputo and
40km north of Xai Xai on the EN1. We are ? 800km from Pretoria. Estimated travelling time 10 hours.
1. Take the N4 towards Komatiepoort (Witbank, Nelspruit, Malelane, Komatipoort).
2. Lebombo border into Mozambique.
3. EN4 towards Maputo.
4. 1st Tollgate, Moamba Plaza ? mts95.00 / mts95 000.
5. On the double road towards Maputo you will get a robot, turn left.
6. 2nd Tollgate, Maputo Plaza ? mts17.50 / mts17 500.
7. After this tollgate you take the Xai Xai off ramp.
8. You are on the EN1 North (Xai Xai road).
9. You will drive through various small towns: Marraquenne, Manica, Palmeiras, 3 de
Ferreiras, Magul, Mimbiri, Macia, Incaia, Chucumbane, Xai Xai.
10. When driving through Xai Xai town, you will get the last petrol garage (Petro Moc)
on your Left handside/ Right handside. From this point it is ? 40km to the turn
off.
11. You will drive through Chongoene, Nhamavilla and the last town, Chizavane. After
? 1km out of the town Chizavane, you will reach a dirt road. On the left, a sign,
Nascer do Sol. Turn right at this sign into the dirt road.
12. You will drive ? 10km straight on this dirt road.
14. You must keep right towards Zona Braza. You will see the lake in front on your
right handside.
15. From here you will need a 4X4 or 2X4 with diff-lock and please deflate your tyres
to ? 1.2 bar.
