Barra Lodge has secluded, untouched beaches, and bordered by the Inhambane estuary on one side and on the other side the sea. Barra Lodge is nestled among groves of coconut trees; all rooms have exquisite beach and sea views.

The accommodation at Barra Lodge is very comfortable. There are various options of accommodation that meet each individual's needs. Barra has 16 Twin bedded Casitas, 4 Family Casitas, 20 Self catering cottages, and 2 Bunk Houses. There is also a luxurious Live Aboard Yacht. Barra Lodges Beach Bar is a very popular meeting point. The tropical beach bar creates an atmosphere of relaxation where the best fisherman's yarns are heard. Here you are invited to get together in the evenings to watch the beautiful sunsets, partake in beach volley ball, pub games or simply sip and enjoy exotic cocktails. While you relax to the sight and the sound of the waves gently breaking on the shore, indulge your taste buds at our restaurant. Fresh seafood dominates the menu with prawns, calamari and fresh line fish remaining the ever popular favorites. Pub lunches and pizzas are on sale.

Property Amenities

Casitas - Our traditional Casitas are made of thatch, brick and reeds creating a charming atmosphere. Some have sea views and all are a stone's throw from the beach. Barra has 20 family casita's. All casita's have 1 double bed and 2 single beds as well as en-suite shower, toilet, handbasin. All bedding and mosquito nets are supplied and rooms are serviced daily. Tea & coffee is also available in the rooms.

Self Catering Cottages - Barra Lodge offers a selection of cottages with two or three bedrooms, open plan living area, kitchen, shower and hand-basin with hot and cold water and a separate toilet. The bedrooms each have 2 beds (with mosquito nets) allowing a total of 6 guests to enjoy a cottage. All the basic amenities are supplied including a fridge/freezer, 2 plate gas stove, cutlery, crockery, pots, pans, utensils and bed linen. The cottages are serviced daily. This traditional style of accommodation sets the scene for an unforgettable holiday.
