Only 180 kilometers from Maputo you will find the village town of Bilene, where Praia do Sol Beach Resort overlooks the San Martino Lagoon. A lagoon some 15km long and 4Km wide, that lies along side the warm Indian Ocean, Praia do Sol is laid back and relaxed but there is still enough to do, to keep you busy on a daily basis.

Our Restaurant, Bar and Pool Decks are the social hub of the resort. The restaurant is built from the local natural materials, overlooking the San Martino Lake. Relax in the ambience of a tropical bush and beach lifestyle and enjoy our delightfully varied menus prepared daily, you won't be disappointed.
Standard Breakfasts include local Fresh fruit, cereals and full cooked breakfast, await you each morning.
A full Al-Carte menu, that includes light snacks, is available to satisfy your appetite. Dishes are tasty and well prepared. The Menu includes fresh seafood, of course, Portuguese dishes and the South African's favorite, Braai's. Provision can be made for vegetarians. Joins us for Bar snacks and sun downer drinks before dinner. Relax, chat, play darts and keep an eye on the outside world with our DSTV linked television. Cold beer also comes standard at Praia Do Sol! You'll find more than just a cold beer in our bar, cocktails, Portuguese and South African wine, spirits and refreshments, not to mention the great atmosphere.

Area AttractionsResort Activities
We offer the following activities from the resort; boat transfers to the ocean beach, canoe hire and Snorkeling.
Day long boat trips, and sunset cruises.
A 2 hour long canoe trip, will take you through interlocking smaller lakes and rivers, then back into the main San Martino Lake and back along the beach to Praia do Sol.
A Local Village Cultural tour, will takes you away from the Village and out into the rural areas, to see how the local population live and survive off the land.
All actives are at an extra cost.
All activities are weather permitting and subject to numbers of persons participating.
Those who aren?t that adventurous can also simply lounge around next to our swimming pool.
Village Activities
There are independent Dive and Fishing operators in the Village, where you can arrange the necessary trip to the ocean. The operators do prefer that you contact them, on arrival. Weather conditions can change and therefore, it would be better to make contact on arrival. Contact me for more information if necessary.
